A Secret Santa One-Shot
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Sirius Black grimaced at the lovesick expression on his best friend's face. "Come on, Prongs, snap out of it," he cried. "She's just a girl." "She's not just a girl, Sirius," James Potter replied. "She's the girl. She just doesn't know it." "Yeah, somehow I get the feeling she does," Sirius commented, sniggering at the glare on Lily Evans's face as she passed them in the corridor. James sighed angrily and contented himself with turning Severus Snape's hair purple. Snape tried to retaliate, but Professor McGonagall walked by at that precise moment. "What on earth has happened to your hair, Mr. Snape?" she asked, waving her wand and turning it back to its original colour. "Do I even want to know?" James hurried away so she wouldn't spot him, but too late. "Mr. Potter! Wait a moment, please." He turned around with a fake smile on his face. "Yes, Professor McGonagall?" he asked, doing a bad job of sounding innocent. "May I see you in my classroom for a moment, please?" she asked disapprovingly. "Sure," he said, his fake smile still in place, but his brain was playing the funeral march.
